Florida State's fan base wants Andrew Wiggins. The Seminoles, it would seem, need him.
Wiggins, the Huntington (W.Va.) Prep star who is considered the top basketball recruit in the 2013 class, watched last night's 72-47 drubbing by rival Florida from courtside seats. He was on an official visit to Florida State, one of the schools on his short list of potential destinations.
In an effort to woo Wiggins to Tallahassee, a row of female FSU students wore shirts that spelled out "WE WANT WIGGINS." Others carried signs that read "FSU Has Hotter Girls" and "Seminoles Hunt Wildcats," a dig at Kentucky, which is considered a favorite to land the star forward.
Wiggins' parents, both of whom attended Florida State, were honored with a video presentation during halftime.
Thanks to The Dagger for the heads up.
