USA TODAY High School Sports devotes May to female athletics

USA TODAY High School Sports is devoting May to Girls Sports Month. Among the features will be regular Q&As with top female athletes, advice from elite college athletes to current high school stars, training tips unique to female athletes, photo galleries and regular top 10 lists.

We're also offering female athletes – high school juniors and younger – a chance to become a featured guest columnist for the 2013-14 school year. Athletes need to submit a column (roughly 400 words) on the topic of the most challenging and/or rewarding experience of their athletic careers. We'll run the top submissions throughout the month and the top column will become a regular guest writer for next school year. Please email your columns to Suzanne Schwerer at sschwerer@usatoday.com.
