Josh Level, a junior at New Garden Friends School in Greensboro, N.C., died Tuesday after he collapsed during a game, according to multiple reports.
The Greensboro News-Record reports that Level, 17, collapsed during a timeout with about three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of New Garden Friends School's game against Quality Education Academy in Winston Salem, N.C..
"We called 911 immediately and a nurse gave him artificial respiration,” Quality Education Academy CEO Simon Johnson told the News-Record.
Level was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
