Georgetown Prep from Washington, D.C., downed two rivals this week, making the biggest jump in the Super 25 Boys Lacrosse rankings provided by 3d Rising, moving from No. 14 to No. 4.
The Hoyas defeated conference foe Episcopal (Va.) 15-6, followed by a 7-4 victory against D.C. rival Gonzaga. Georgetown’s only losses this year have come against No. 22 St. Paul’s (Brooklandville, Md.) and No. 3 Landon (Bethesda, Md.), both in overtime.
The Hoyas will travel to Bullid (Md.) this weekend, looking to keep their growing momentum in their favor.
The Haverford School in suburban Philadelphia remained in the top spot, followed by Massapequa (N.Y.) at No. 2.
Northport High School (N.Y.) earned one of the biggest wins of the season thus far, upsetting previously undefeated Smithtown East 16-10. The Tigers moved from outside the top 25 to No. 12 this week and are sporting a perfect record since their only loss on March 26 to No. 9 Syosset (N.Y.). Northport is led by Maryland commit Rocco Sutherland, who has 23 goals and 30 assists.
Highland Park (Dallas) and St. Mary’s High School (Md.) also joined the rankings this week. Smithtown High School East (N.Y.) had the biggest fall of the week, dropping from No. 6 to No. 18.
