Sean Patterson, Jr., has not resigned from the LSU coaching staff yet, according to father Sean Patterson.
The father disputed a report from 247Sports.com in a text message to The Times.
The report said Sean Patterson, an LSU offensive quality control coach, is expected to take an offensive position at Ole Miss.
The father said Sean hasn’t resigned or taken another position yet.
Sean’s younger brother is Calvary quarterback Shea Patterson, a five-star gunslinger whom RIvals.com ranked the No. 1 quarterback prospect in the Class of 2016 and the No. 7 prospect overall.
Sean Patterson was a graduate assistant at Arizona, a school which Shea committed to as a freshman in high school before re-opening his recruiting this summer when Sean took a position LSU.
Shea has more than 20 scholarship offers, including LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Arizona, USC and Notre Dame.
Two of Shea’s teammates — receiver Shun Brown and running back Orlando Bradford — signed with Arizona on Wednesday.
