Airline boys, Bossier girls win close contests

The Airline Vikings picked up a key non-district victory Tuesday night by slipping past the Bossier Bearkats 64-62 in the Bossier gym.

Trent Ivy led the way with 26 points and TJ Robinson chiped in with 15 to lead coach Chris White’s club.

The Bearkats lost despite 30 points from Tybren Wimberly and 19 from Jacoby Decker.

North Caddo 65, Huntington 60: At Vivian, Chris Thomas scored 22 points and the Rebels (6-2) held the Raiders to just 4 points in the third quarter in posting the win. Gaybriel Gilliam led the Raiders with 23 points while Depageon Taylor added 14.

Parkway 81, Benton 74: At Parkway, Kameren Davis led four Panthers in double figures with 20 points, while Terrace Marshall and Robert McKnight scored 18 apiece. Justin Rogers added 12. Jalen Harding topped the Tigers with 22, while Bubba Osby added 18 and Jerrigan Lawrence 16.

Woodlawn 69, Giblsand-Coleman 57: At Woodlawn, Jalen Brooks’ 21 points paced the Knights to the win. Devonte’ Brooks added 14 and Tevin Thomas 12 for Woodlawn.

North DeSoto 49, Haughton 47: At Stonewall, Jeremiah Hines scored 19 points and Greg Hall 11 to lead the Griffins (2-1) past the Bucs. Brandon Deane scored 21 for Haughton.

Lakeside 66, Minden 62: The Lakeside boys ran their record to 5-1 behind 19 points from Michael Bradford and 16 from Chase Mitchell.

Girls’games

Evangel 48, Lakeview 30: Tiara Young poured in 24 points to lead all scorers as the Lady Eagles won handily in the non-district contest.

Bossier 46, Airline 45: At Bossier, Destiny Thomas scored 11 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Bearkats past Airline.

Bossier Invitational to feature 15 games

Woodlawn 64, Gibsland-Coleman 26: At Woodlawn, Mary Caldwell scored 17 points and Johnesha Wilson added 16 as the Lady Knights won going away. Ariachay Stevens scored 22 of her team’s 26 points.

NCHS 80, Green Oaks 22: At Green Oaks, the Lady Chiefs placed five players in double figures in rolling over the Lady Giants. Kierra Brimzy (14 points), Regan Rogers (13), Jolie Williams (12), Jada Duncantell (11) and Mariah Jones 10 led the way.

Captain Shreve 51, Plain Dealing 29: With 17 points from Dezyre Black and 11 from Aaliyah Stevenson, the Lady Gators rolled.
