Airline, Ruston lead volleyball standings

Airline kept rolling along in Division I, District I action on Tuesday night with a 3-0 decision at home against Haughton.

Thanks to 10 aces, 3 kills and 3 blocks from Lauren Pilcher the Lady Vikings won 25-20, 25-16 and 25-12. Ashley Haigler added 4 aces, 3 kills, 7 assists and 2 digs, while Kate Blancaflor contributed an ace, 7 assists and a dig.

Coach Reggie Digilormo’s club is now 14-6 overall and 10-1 in district play.

Captain Shreve 3, BTW 0: At the Lion’s Den, Madison Carruth scored 18 points with 13 aces and 7 kills to lead the Lady Gators, while Sydney Fant added 12 points with 10 aces and 9 kills.

Evangel, 3, North Caddo 0: At Evangel, the Lady Eagles won 25-11, 25-11 and 25-8 in the Division IV, District I contest.

Northwood 3, Caddo Magnet 0: At Blanchard, the Lady Falcons won 25-13, 25-19 and 25-11. Alyssia Mobley had 11 assists, Bri Dungan had 7 aces, Addy Parker 7 kills and Anna Armstrong 8 digs for Northwood. Cierra Lattin had 3 kills for the Lady Mustangs.

Ruston 3, Byrd 1: At Ruston, the Lady Bearcats remained tied atop the Division I, District I standings with the win over the Lady Jackets 25-12, 12-25, 25-14 and 25-15. Gracie Smith had 31 assists and Reagan Lee 20 kills in the contest. Madalynn Plunkett had 15 digs, Meg Roeder 10 kills and 14 digs and Anna Kate Inman 7 kills and 7 digs. Also for Ruston, Reanne Ginn and Katie Durett posted 13 digs apiece. For Byrd, Sam Randolph had 6 aces and 8 kills, Emme Cehajic had 7 kills, Emma Day Grantham had 6 aces, Tori Beaudion had 10 assists and Vassar Terry had 17 digs.

Loyola 3, Mansfield 2: At Loyola, the Flyers won 29-31, 25-22, 14-25, 25-17 and 15-10. Lawryn Scott had 7 kills, Ti’Tiana Glover 7 kills and 16 assists, Essence Johnson 5 kills and Kassidy Moore 7 aces.
