Alcester-Hudson def. West Sioux (Iowa) 25-19, 26-24, 21-25, 25-19 at Alcester — For Alcester-Hudson, Kassidy Walth led the way with 16 kills, 35 digs and 2 aces. Amelia Steme had 6 kills, 16 digs and an ace. Jackie Hallaway chipped in with 19 digs and 2 assists. Karlee Nygard added 29 assists, 8 digs, 2 kills and a block. No stats for West Sioux were provided.

Colman-Egan def. Castlewood 23-25, 25-15, 25-21, 22-25, 15-9 at Colman — Burgin Groos dominated the net for Castlewood with 21 kills to go along with 12 digs. Savannah Moore chipped in with 16 kills and 14 digs. Regan Benike and Brooke Brunsma led the way for Colman-Egan with 9 kills each. Benike also had 13 digs and Brunsma had 2 blocks.

Dakota Valley def. Beresford, 25-15, 25-11, 25-18 at Beresford — Hannah Neilson tallied 11 digs, Katie Diefendorf had 18 assists and Bailey Twite had 10 digs to help Dakota Valley beat Beresford. Hanna Cummins led Beresford with 30 assists and five aces. Elizabeth Lammers also had a pair of aces to go with 13 kills, while Meredith Lammers tallied 15 digs. Alyssa Johnson had 15 digs.

Elk Point-Jefferson def. Canton 25-13, 25-19, 25-16 at Elk Point — Karly Marx had a productive night for EPJ with 15 assists, 7 digs, 1 kill and 1 ace. Katelyn Richards led the team in kills with 7. Addison Ludwig had 21 digs. For Canton, Shayla White had 4 blocks and 2 kills. Kalyn Lems had 4 digs to go along with 2 aces. EPJ plays Lennox on Tuesday.

Huron def. Brookings 27-25, 25-21, 20-25, 25-14 at Huron — Brookings got a pair of aces from Michaela Jewett, who also had 14 digs. Miranda Ysbrand had 24 digs and Jaci Sebern had 13. Sebern also had 12 kills. For Huron, Karissa Schroeder had 17 kills, Havyn Heinz had two aces and 22 digs and Maddie Kline had 15 digs. Jayda Shillingstad, who is celebrating her birthday today (Friday), finished with a match-high 52 assists.

Harrisburg def. Lincoln 25-20, 25-22, 25-21 at SF Lincoln — Harrisburg’s Sami Slaughter and Avery Thorson both had two aces, while Carli Fikse registered six blocks. Slaughter also led the team in kills with 12, while Thorson led the way in assists with 36. Madison Wassink (13) and Rachel Nelson (11) led Harrisburg (7-0) in digs. For Lincoln, Tominee Sorenson and Maddi Barnes both ahd a pair of aces, while Allie Engel had 23 assists. Anezka Szabo led the Pats with 13 kills, six blocks and 21 digs. Anna Boyens had 35 digs. Sydnaya Dunn had five blocks.

Lake Preston def. Dell Rapids St. Mary 25-18, 25-12, 21-25, 25-14 at Lake Preston — Lake Preston got multiple aces from Meriah Flegel (5), Olivia Christensen (2) and Lexie Larsen (2). Christensen also had 13 assists, while Tara Scheidt had 11 kills and three blocks. Ryylie Brown had four blocks and nine digs. For Dell Rapids St. Mary, Maddie Schwebach had two aces, Rhiannon Glazier had four kills and Haley Michel had 21 digs.

Madison def. Lennox 25-23, 25-20, 28-26 at Madison — For the Bulldogs, Olivia Rud led the way with 14 kills. Valorie Nowstrup had 24 digs. Lily Monroe and Jenni Giles had 4 aces each. For Lennox, Callie Luke had 6 kills and 19 digs. Tatum Musser had 5 kills and 11 sets. Madison plays Vermillion on Tuesday in Madison. Lennox faces Elk Point-Jefferson on Tuesday.

Scotland def. Freeman Academy/Marion 25-23, 25-23, 14-25, 17-25, 15-11 at Freeman — For Scotland, Elyssa Walloch had 11 kills, 14 digs and 2 aces, Taylor Gall notched 11 kills and 3.5 blocks,  and Taylor Vietz had a block, 26 assists, 15 digs and an ace. For Freeman Academy/Marion, Michele Schoenwald logged two aces and 20 kills, Chelsea Heeg notched 11 kills and 15 digs and Amy Ptak had an ace and 36 assists — on 139 attempts.

Tea Area def. Dell Rapids 25-23, 25-21, 25-23 at Dell Rapids — For Tea, Abi Mcllvenna had 10 kills, three aces and a block, Sidney Clayberg tallied 27 assists and Ally Kacmarynski notched 17 digs. Dell Rapids got 15 digs from Brooke Klein and 16 assists from Chloe Solberg.

West Central 25-20, 25-17, 25-20 at SF Christian — Kylee VanEgdom scored 22 kills, 13 digs and a pair of aces and Sioux Falls Christian slipped past West Central 25-20, 25-17 and 25-20 Thursday night at Sioux Falls Christian. Ellie Voss and Samantha Fykstra also shined for the Chargers (7-1) with Voss tallying 12 kills and a block, and Samantha Fykstra logging 13 digs and 41 assists. Cassidy Pollema had two aces. For West Central (3-1), Sydney Goertel had six kills, an ace and 12 digs, Ashlyn Macdonald had three kills and a block and Molly McMahon had 11 digs. Ashlyn Hanisch finished with 11 assists.

G2: No. 5 Baltic def. No. 4 Sioux Valley 25-12, 25-21, 25-17 — Baltic was led by Maddie Polzin who had 20 kills, a block and an ace. Rachel Aberson had 10 kills and five blocks and Brooke VanDam had 39 assists and an ace. Stats were not provided for Sioux Valley.

G3: Parker def. Baltic 26-24, 25-23, 25-14 — For Parker, Makenzie Dean finished with 33 assists and Gabby Herlyn added 11 kills. For Baltic, Maddie Polzin had 16 kills and an ace, Makay Paszek had 11 kills and three blocks and Brooke VanDam had 28 assists.

G4: Sioux Valley def. Garretson 25-16, 25-8, 25-13 — Sioux Valley was led by Lynsey Stevens with a pair of blocks and Nikole Zregler who had 12 digs. Rachel Miller finished with 12 assists. Garretson was paced by Emily Schleuter had 20 digs.

G1: No. 3 MCM def. No. 6 Howard 25-22, 25-20, 25-13 — Danielle Hanson had 10 kills, while Nicole Bies notched 17 assists, four aces and 13 digs to lift MCM over Howard. Natalie Gottlob had a block and McKenna Kranz had five aces. For Howard, Cayla Koepsell had three blocks and Citori Rentz had two aces.

G2: No. 2 Chester def. No. 8 Flandreau 25-12, 25-12, 25-11 — For Chester, Jadon Wages had eight kills, two aces and three blocks, Josie Wolf had 69 assists and three aces, and Hanna Reiff tallied 15 digs. Sarah Benson also broke double-digit digs with 10. For Flandreau, Brooke Iott had five blocks and four digs, and Mara Lunday had two blocks and two aces.

G3: Chester def. MCM 25-15, 25-23, 25-18 — Chester was led by Jadon Wages who had 13 digs and three aces and Karissa Campbell who had 13 kills. Sarah Benson added 10 kills, Josie Wolf had 30 assissts and 13 digs and Hanna Reiff finished with 32 digs. For MCM, Nicole Biese had 13 assists, Hayley Miles had 10 assists, Morgan Koepsell had two blocks, as did Morgan Erikson. Danielle Hanson led the match with four aces, and Jacy Pulse paced her team with 13 digs.
