Auburn coach Gus Malzahn got mobbed by OL commit's dogs during in-home visit

Auburn football coach Gus Malzahn wasted no time in getting to in-home visits with the school’s top prospects. Right at the top of the list was four-star offensive guard pledge Nick Brahms, who hosted Malzahn and offensive line coach Herb Hand Monday.

First, the coaches visited Brahms at practice at Navarre High in Florida, then hit his house before a dinner reservation on Pensacola Beach. It was the coach’s time in the home where he discovered the biggest new Auburn fans in the Brahms family: Three different family dogs, Sadie, Harley, and Odie.

That’s the canine Brahms trio in the photo you see above. They look pretty happy, and for his part, Malzahn is clearly not phased. Delighted is more like it. Who knew he was such a dog guy?

We here at USA TODAY High School Sports can’t tell what type of dogs the puppy Brahms are. They certainly look like they could be mutts, which is all the better (and makes them all the healthier).

What we do know is that they apparently are big fans of tigers, which makes them both fearless and pretty fun. Let’s hope they get to take a nice car trip north to visit Nick in college once he arrives on The Plains for the spring semester.
