Battle Creek Central can't complete comeback

KALAMAZOO – After being shutout in the first half, Battle Creek Central tried to mount a comeback against Kalamazoo Central, but could not come up the with defensive stops they needed down the stretch and fell 31-22 Friday night.

The Bearcats (0-4) were down 10-0 at halftime, and put together a 22 point second half. Jordan Lawson had a rushing touchdown and led the team with 48 yards rushing.

Jahmiel Wade went 10-20 for 172 yards through the air and also added a rushing touchdown.

Battle Creek Central  travels to Niles on Sept. 23 for their next game.
