Boys soccer: Scoring leaders for 2016

The lohud boys soccer scoring leaders for 2016.

The lohud boys soccer scoring leaders for 2016.

Every year, people always want to know about the leading scorers in the Lower Hudson Valley. So this year, I decided to keep track of it.

Below you’ll find the top 40 goal-scorers in our coverage area as of the most recent date listed. The plan is to update this a couple times a week, so don’t be alarmed if the goal you scored today isn’t on there yet. If by chance we’re missing a goal or an assist for a player which was recorded before the most recent date, please have your coach let me know via e-mail at vmercoglia@lohud.com. I should note that it’s up to every coach to send in their stats after each game, and most are very good about it. But if you’re not seeing a name that you know belongs, please nudge your coach about getting the stats to us. We can only report on the information that we have.

Lastly, be mindful that the players are listed in order of goals scored. You’ll also see assists and total points, which are used as a tiebreaker if multiple players have the same amount of goals. But first and foremost, this is a list of the top 40 goal-scorers in the area.
