California cornerback Javelin Guidry decommits from Houston

In the wake of Tom Herman’s departure from Houston to Texas, the Houston football recruiting class took its first hit.

Cornerback Javelin Guidry from Vista Murrieta (Murrieta Calif.) announced on Twitter that he was decommitting from the Cougars’ class and reopening his recruitment.

Guidry had committed in May.

His departure leaves the Houston class with 20 commits.  The class is ranked No. 35 overall in the 247Sports Composite team rankings.
