The Canterbury Cougars improved to 2-1, as they defeated the St. Petersburg Canterbury Crusaders 34-6 Friday night in St. Petersburg.
The Cougars were able to get the running game going, as fullback Brenden Fritz rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns. Canterbury coach Derek Crudup said he was very pleased with how his offense played.
“Our offensive line played great,” Crudup said. “It was a good team win.”
Even though there were many positives to take from the game, Crudup said there is room for improvement.
“We have to get better production from our backup players when they are called upon,” Crudup said.
