Michigan commit posts hype video to attract another recruit, and it's awesome

A player who has committed to one school helping recruit another player to that school is nothing new.

But Michigan commit Corey Malone-Hatcher might have upped the game to another level.

Malone-Hatcher, a four-star defensive end from St. Joseph, Mich., has pushed out a hype video trying to entice four-star wide receiver Tarik Black from Cheshire Academy (Conn.) to commit to the Wolverines.

He also has urged Michigan fans to get #TBtoAA trending on Twitter.

And let’s just say the Michigan fans are taking that as a challenge:

Some other interested folks also have gotten involved, including Michigan five-star quarterback commit Dylan McCaffrey from Colorado.

Black, an Army All-American, made an official visit to Ann Arbor on Sept. 3 and then was at Auburn for an official visit last weekend.

“We’re pretty good friends,” Black said Tuesday of Malone-Hatcher. “He’s a good dude.”

Black also was impressed with the devotion of the fans.

“It’s super cool to be wanted by all of these fans,” he said. “I’m definitely feeling the love.”

As for whether this matters as Black’s continues his recruiting, he says, “It helps.”
