DeAndre Ayton to make homecoming to Bahamas as part of Grind Session event

DeAndre Ayton will make his homecoming to The Bahamas when Hillcrest Prep (Phoenix) takes part in the Sand Between Your Toes Showcase as part of the Grind Session, organizers announced.

Ayton is the No. 1 player in the Class of 2017 and recently committed to Arizona. Ayton moved from the Bahamas to San Diego and then to Phoenix.

The event is scheduled for Nov. 17-18 at the Kendal GL Isaacs National Gymnasium in Nassau.

Matchups have not been announced, but the field also includes Conrad Academy (Orlando), Victory Rock (Bradenton, Fla.), Prolific Prep (Napa, Calif.), Prolific Prep North (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario) and another team to be announced.
