DeSoto football drops single about playoff run ahead of first Texas state title game appearance is a partner of USA TODAY High School Sports

Getting to play in a state championship is a huge deal, especially when you’re playing for a title for the very first time. That’s where the No. 3 DeSoto Eagles will find themselves Saturday, and there’s no doubt that they’re hyped. In fact, they released a song set to a 2 Chainz instrumental.

A sampling, via the Dallas Morning News:  “15-0, we got one more to go. What’s up Cibolo? We’re going to run up the score! … Don’t worry about the bright lights, we’re just melting Steele.”

It’s safe to say the Eagles are ready for this game, and it’s definitely safe to say that Cibolo Steele will keep this in the back of its collective mind, as well.

DeSoto plays Cibolo Steele on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. at AT&T Stadium in the Class 6A Division II state championship game.
