It was an incredibly busy Saturday in Section 1 field hockey with 14 games played, six of them decided by a single goal.

It was also a day for Rye to celebrate its best player as senior Fusine Govaert’s hat trick gave her 100 goals in her Garnet varsity career to go along with her 55 assists.

Below is a recap of that game and all the others.

Horace Greeley 1, North Rockland 0: Lauren Neff scored, assisted by Catherine Brennan.

Greeley shut down the Red Raiders offense with goalie Willa Kuhn only forced to make two saves.

North Rockland’s Megan Mallozzi had seven saves.

Clarkstown North 5, Ossining 0: The Rams picked up their third win of the season behind Kristin McGrade’s hat trick, which gave her five goals on the season.

Jocelyn Kaminsky scored her fourth goal of the season and Maris Daly scored her third.

Maeve Downs had an assist.

Brissette, Danehy, Knowles, Erin Cotter and Molly Banks had assists

Mamaroneck 7, Arlington 0: Sophie Brill had a hat trick, Paige Danehy scored twice. Brigid Knowles, and Elizabeth Brissette each had a goal and Charlotte Mackie registered the shutout.

Yorktown 3, White Plains 2: The Cornhuskers recorded their first win of the season behind goals by Isabella Ciccinelli, Natalie Gammer and Caitlin Verber.

Gammer, McKenna Duff and Caroline Garti had assists.

Emily Tumminia and Jenna Reilly scored for the Tigers and Victoria Savarino had an assist.

Olivia Sanchez was solid in goal for Yorktown with 11 saves.

Clarkstown South 6, Carmel 0: Colleen Geyer scored twice and Sabrina Cacapit, Dara Studnitzer and Marisa Annunziata also scored.

Danielle Noia had two assists and Cacapit, Claire Dooley, Grace Dempsey and Annie O’Neill each had one assist.

The Vikings, now 4-0, dominated start to finish. Clarkstown South netminder Emily Gauzza faced only one shot. Carmel keeper Elaina Nacinovich turned away 20.

Rye 4, Bronxville 2: Princeton-bound senior Fusine Govaert scored three goals, her third the 100th of her 61-game varsity career.

Teammate Lainie Agosta also scored and had an assist. Alex Meyers assisted on Agosta’s goal.

Hadley Barr and Mia Bettino scored for Bronxville.

Maggie Devlin had two saves for Rye, which is now 3-1.

Brewster 3, Putnam Valley 0: Jacqueline Benvenuto, Lindsey McLaughlin and Grace Pastore, who assisted on McLaughlin’s goal, scored.

Junior Lauren turner had 10 saves and freshman Mikaela Lisboa two for Putnam Valley, which is 0-5.

With the win, Brewster evened its season mark to 2-2.

Valhalla 1, Irvington 0: Angela Vlad scored and Michaela DeNatale got the assist.

Irvington goalie Nicole Sklitsis had eight saves.

Valhalla goalie Breanna Ciardullo had two saves.

North Salem 2, Lourdes 0: The Tigers improved to 3-1-2 behind goals by Mariana Alpizar and Jessica Reiner.

North Salem put 11 shots on net but Tiger goalie Olivia Desanto didn’t have to make a save.

Hailey Starace had an assist.

Lilah Willis had 10 saves for Edgemont.

Somers 3, Sleepy Hollow 0: The Tuskers raised their season mark to 4-1-1, breaking open a scoreless game in the second half behind two goals from Taylor Turchick and one from Teagan Lucchese.

MaryKate Mollaghan added an assist.

Marissa Fortugno had 12 saves for Sleepy Hollow, which didn’t put a shot on Somers keeper Jess Monaco.

Rye Neck 1, Byram Hills 0: Bobcat goalie Serena Feldman is having what her coach, Michele Connors, characterizes as a “seriously awesome” season.

That was true Saturday but the same couldn’t be said for Byram Hills’ offense.

Feldman stopped a remarkable 16 shots in the first half and 10 in the second half.

But she couldn’t get Kaylee Sanabria’s shot with 2:15 left in the first half and that proved to be the difference as Byram Hills mustered only one shot on Panther keeper Christina Shin.

Rye Neck, which took 34 shots in all, had 19 corners to only two for Byram Hills.

Suffern 4, Mahopac 3: Goalie Alyssa Sanchez had 15 saves and Sophie Jay, Grace Krebs, Kim Kaufman and Kaity Gannon all scored as Suffern raised its record to 3-2.

Meg McCarren had two assists and Gannon had one.

Kim Schiera, Kim Brower and Ivy Marshall scored for the Indians. Marshall and Devin King had assists.

Mahopac goalie Gianna Brigante had 12 saves.

Mahopac is 3-3.

Scarsdale 3, John Jay-East Fishkill 1: Erin Nicholas scored twice and Abby Glaser also had a goal as the Raiders won their fourth game of the season against one loss.

Emma Schwartz had an assist for Scarsdale.

Pleasantville 2, Pawling 1: Jackie Bendenson had 15 saves and Callie Sullivan and Lexi Moskowitz scored.

Sullivan and Emma Hickey also had assists.

Carly McGrath scored unassisted and Kayla Chavarri had three saves for Pawling.

Briarcliff 3, Hen Hud 1: In the consolation game of the Briarcliff Tournament, Teresa Marinaccio, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, scored twice and had an assist and Maeve Donoghue had a goal and an assist.

Fiona Jackson had the Sailors’ goal.
