High school football: Five players to watch in Week 6

It’s Week 6 of the high school football season. Here are five players to watch on Friday night:

Joe Callahan, Sheridan: The 5-9, 155-pound junior rushed 45 times for 327 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-14 win last week over Eastern. Callahan has rushed for 928 yards and nine TDs this season. Sheridan hosts Tri-Central on Friday.

Will Harrison, Westfield: The senior kicker is 7-for-11 on field goal attempts and has 18 touchbacks on 28 kickoff attempts. Harrison also is averaging 40.5 yards on 15 punts. His work on special teams could play a big role in Westfield’s game Friday at Brownsburg.

Al McKeller, Lawrence North: The 5-10, 205-pound senior came up big in a 27-20 win over Carmel last week, rushing 28 times for 182 yards and three touchdowns. McKeller has rushed for 631 yards and nine TDs on the season. The Wildcats are at Ben Davis on Friday.

Tyler Watson, Tri-West: The 6-1, 180-pound junior linebacker had 16 tackles in a 21-17 win over Western Boone last week. Watson leads the Bruins with 64 tackles this season. He also has rushed for 98 yards and three touchdowns. Tri-West plays Lebanon at Lucas Oil Stadium on Friday.

Rayjon Wynter, Northwest: The 5-11 junior quarterback passed for 251 yards and five touchdowns last year in a 51-14 win over Washington last week. Wynter, in four games, has passed for 912 yards and 15 touchdowns. Northwest (4-1) hosts 4-1 Arlington on Friday.
