High school football state rankings after final week of regular season

Ozark cracked the high school football Missouri Media Rankings for the first time this season at No. 9 in the Class 5 poll. Ozark (6-2) holds a four-game winning streak and a first round bye in the playoffs. The Tigers host the winner of Lebanon (6-3) and Central (0-9) on Friday, Oct. 28.

Kickapoo, Glendale, Fair Grove and Monett all held their positions from a week ago in what will be in the final poll of sports reporters from around Missouri conducted until the conclusion of the playoffs in November.

Kickapoo (8-1) holds steady at No. 7 in the Class 6 rankings. Undefeated Glendale (9-0) maintains No. 3 in the Class 5 poll, and like Ozark has a bye in this Friday’s round of playoff games.

Also undefeated Fair Grove (9-0) remains the No. 7-ranked team in Class 2. The Eagles host the 2-7 California Pintos on Friday night to start the playoffs.

The Monett Cubs (8-1) hold the No. 2 seed in their Class 3 district behind Reeds Spring (7-2). No. 4-ranked Monett hosts Seneca (3-6) Friday at Burl Fowler Stadium.
