Ever wonder what goes on when college basketball’s most elite coaches are inside the friendly confines of high school basketball’s most elite prospects?

Well, wonder no more.

Each week we’ll catch up with an elite hoops prospect who’s recently entertained a flurry of coaches for in-homes and have them hand out some of the most telling, albeit random, awards based on the visits.

This week we caught up with Tampa Catholic’s Kevin Knox, a five-star wing who just hosted Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina and Florida State.

And the award for Best Appetite goes to… “(Laughs) I’d have to say Coach (Leonard) Ham! Not so much because he ate a lot of food, more because he talked about food… A lot! He’s apparently a really good cook! He talked to me and my parents a lot about all of the different dishes he specializes in and things like that. I think he said his best dish was like green tomatoes with chicken and potatoes or something like that. He said it tastes great! I believe him too!”

USP BASKETBALL: USA TEAM TRAINING S BKO USA SPAnd the award for Best Story goes to… “Coach K! I forgot which year it was but it was the USA team with Kobe and LeBron and all the stars and he told me this story about how the players were mad because Kobe wasn’t passing the ball so he had to meet with him. He said going into the meeting he was a little nervous because it’s Kobe! He said he had to step up as the leader and that it was a little scary. He said Kobe took it like a man and watched film with him and changed things up. That was a really cool story to hear about.”

And the award for Best Presentation goes to… “I’d say that was a tie between North Carolina and Kentucky. North Carolina brought a few really cool pictures of me in a jersey swap so I had the Carolina jersey on. That was cool. Then Coach Cal brought this panoramic video on an iPad or something and I could walk around inside of Rupp! It’s like I was actually there. It was crazy! Definitely a tie for Best Presentation.”

Or you can be 1 and done at KY and end up in the D league WITHOUT A DEGREE. Don't worry though Coach Cal will be fine though. He will still be ruining the lives of black families by telling them to go pro too early. He has to make room for his next victims.

@El Rono Have fun being ignorant and racist. All UK players can come back and finish their degree for free whenever they want. Also, it's not Cal, but usually family members that push these kids out too early, as all his players attest to, unlike Coach K who forces kids to transfer when he finds someone better.
