It’s been a pretty good few days for Iowa running back commit Eno Benjamin.
After accounting for eight touchdowns and 461 yards of total offense Friday as Wylie East in Texas beat North Forney, 56-28, Benjamin accepted his honorary jersey for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Tuesday as the Selection Tour presented by American Family Insurance came to his school.
Benjamin is the first player to receive his jersey as the tour began Tuesday.
Benjamin, ranked as the No. 11 running back recruit in the Class of 2017 by 247Sports, is one of three Iowa commits on the roster for the Jan. 7 Army Bowl in San Antonio. He joins Ohio defensive end A.J. Epenesa and in-state offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs.
Benjamin is playing more of a Wildcat role this season in which he is passing and running. His 147 passing yards against North Forney was a season high.
He has run for 808 yards and 12 touchdowns on 94 carries through four games. For his career, he now has 85 career rushing touchdowns and more than 5,750 career rushing yards.
