La Lumiere vs. Findlay Prep highlights Cancer Research Classic lineup

A matchup between La Lumiere (La Porte, Ind.) and Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) is among the highlights of the Cancer Research Classic on Jan. 6 and 7 in Wheeling, W.Va.

La Lumiere was the runner-up at the DICK’S Nationals last season and finished No. 3 in the final Super 25 rankings.  LaLu has a talented roster featuring Brian Bowen, recent Michigan State commit Jaren Jackson and Michigan commit Jordan Poole. Brian and Jackson are ranked in the top 25 in the Class of 2017.

Findlay Prep is led by new coach Paul Washington and his son, five-star recruit P.J. Washington along with Reggie Chaney, Chris Giles and Tony Goodwin.

The game is scheduled for Jan. 7. Findlay will play First Love Christian (Washington, Pa.) and La Lumiere will play Villa Angela-St. Joseph (Cleveland) on Jan. 6.

The event features a number of other compelling matchups, including DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) vs. Roselle Catholic (Roselle, N.J.) and Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia) vs. Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.).
