Lee, Gap players earn all-state volleyball honors

The Virginia High School League released its Group 2A all-state volleyball team Monday afternoon.

Robert E. Lee’s Jennifer Williams and Buffalo Gap’s Camille Ashby and Emily Hanger all earned first-team honors. Lee’s MacKensie Bowles was named to the second team. 

Lee High’s Jennifer Williams named player of the year

Marion Senior’s Callee Cox was named the 2A state player of the year, while Marion’s Amanda Hanshaw was named coach of the year. Marion beat Buffalo Gap in the state semifinals and Lee High in the state championship.
