Local roundup: Spackenkill boys soccer tops Dover

Andrew Moreira, Anirud Bhimavarapu and Joey Guerriero scored for the visiting Spackenkill High School boys soccer team, which defeated Dover 3-2 on Friday in Dover Plains.

Romero Santos had two goals for Dover. Quinn McGinnis had three saves for the Spartans. Aaron Langiu made seven saves for the Dragons.

Yorktown 1, Arlington 0 — Keeper Jimmy Martin had three saves for the host Admirals (2-3) in Freedom Plains.

New Rochelle 3, Roy C. Ketcham 0 — Goalie Chris Argiento had four saves for the visiting Indians (4-1), who host Beacon Tuesday.

Girls soccer

Isabelle LaBarbera had a hat trick as host Red Hook defeated Marlboro 4-2 to improve to 7-0.

Claire Dyal also scored for Red Hook. Hannah Sullivan scored twice for Marlboro (1-4). Megan Jankowiak made two saves for Red Hook and Eliz Fino made three for Marlboro.

Pawling 3, Alexander Hamilton 0 — Grace Eichinger scored twice and added an assist for the host Tigers.

Rhinebeck 4, Webutuck 0 — Michelle Giamportone had two goals and an assist, and Olivia Lortie had a goal and two assists as the host Hawks (5-0) prevailed.

Samantha McClenahan also scored for Rhinebeck. Laura Mendez made 18 saves for Webutuck and Dani Amidon made two for Rhinebeck.

New Paltz 2, Highland 0 — Anna McDuffie and Cerissa DiValentino scored for the host Huguenots.

Millbrook 4, Dover 0 — Ann Marie Hummel scored twice as the host Blazers shut out the Dragons.

Arianna Radovic and Isa Rosenzweig also scored for Millbrook (4-2). Millbrook’s Claire Martell made 14 saves and Ashley Merlo made 12 for Dover (1-4).

Wallkill 5, Franklin D. Roosevelt 1 – Meagan Marshall scored on an assist from Abby Thomas, but the host Presidents lost.

Faith Christian Academy 5, Poughkeepsie Day School 2 — Nicole Petfield and Samantha DeLouise each scored twice for Faith Christian Academy.

Field hockey

Cortney Conley scored two goals, including the game-winner in triple overtime as visiting Pine Plains defeated Germantown 2-1.

Taconic Hills 4, Rhinebeck 0 — Grace Johnson made 13 saves for the host Hawks (0-4), who lost.

Arlington 0, North Rockland 0 — Sophia Fister made four saves as the visiting Admirals (1-0-1) tied in Thiells late Thursday

Nyack 2, Ketcham 0 — Kristen DeSousa made 15 saves in the loss for host Ketcham late Thursday.

Girls tennis

Amanda Roe and Tanmayi Rayavaram won 6-4, 7-5 at first doubles, helping lead John Jay to a 7-0 sweep of visiting Carmel.

Poughkeepsie 3, Highland 2 — Dorothy Belton and Adrianna Powers won singles matches, and Deeanna Powers and Brianna James won at second doubles as the host Pioneers (2-2) prevailed.

Chelsea White won at third singles for Highland and first doubles team Tamaye Hulgundi and Makayla McClinton were also victorious.

Marlboro 4, Franklin D. Roosevelt 1 — Emma Messenger, Grace Messenger and Brittany DeSantis each won in straight sets as the visiting Iron Dukes (3-1) won in Hyde Park.

Roosevelt is 2-3.

New Paltz 4, Saugerties 1 – Mikal Kalus and Ariana Rodriguez each won in straight sets as the visiting Huguenots won.

Horace Greeley 7, Ketcham 0 — At first doubles, Rachel Warren and Sarah Canzone fell 1-6, 5-7 for the visiting Indians (3-1) in Chappaqua.

Haldane 4, Pawling 1 — Lucinda Strol defeated Justina Yeung 6-2, 6-0 at second singles to lead the Blue Devils in Cold Spring late Thursday.

Martha Topolnitski of Pawling improved to 4-1 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Olivia Sterling.
