DREAM TEAM 

QB: Mason Gee-Montgomery, Stockbridge – The senior completed 69.9 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,609 yards and 40 touchdowns for the Panthers. He was a first-team Division 5-6 all-state selection.

QB: Nolan Bird, Grand Ledge – The junior threw for 1,510 yards and 10 touchdowns and also ran for 361 yards while leading the Comets to a 7-3 mark and a second straight CAAC Blue title.

RB: Jared Smith, Pewamo-Westphalia – The senior was the Associated Press Division 7-8 player of the year after rushing for more than 2,500 yards and 38 touchdowns while helping the Pirates capture a Division 7 state title.  He set state records for career rushing touchdowns and consecutive 100-yard rushing games this fall.

RB: JD Ross, DeWitt – The senior was the top rusher and receiver for the Panthers, who captured CAAC Red and Division 3 district titles. He ran for 1,043 yards and 16 touchdowns, had 24 catches for 473 yards and six scores while earning second team Division 3-4 all-state recognition. Ross also had 32 tackles and two interceptions.

RB: Logan Lefke, Portland – The senior ran for 995 yards and 17 touchdowns for the Raiders, who had a second straight undefeated regular season.

RB: Jaden Sutton, Waverly – The senior rushed for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns, had 490 receiving yards and five touchdowns and also returned a couple kickoffs for scores for the Warriors.

WR: Kolby Canfield, Stockbridge – The senior had 93 catches for 1,190 yards and 20 touchdowns for the Panthers while earning first team Division 5-6 all-state recognition.

WR: Sy Barnett, Williamston – The senior had 48 catches for 833 yards and 10 touchdowns and also had 19 carries for 256 yards and three touchdowns while helping the Hornets reach the playoffs.

WR: Kentre Patterson, East Lansing – The senior had 34 catches for 583 yards and three touchdowns for the Trojans. He also had  three interceptions and a defensive touchdown for East Lansing.

WR: Drew Shafer, Eaton Rapids – The senior had 52 receptions for 837 yards and added 11 touchdowns for the Greyhounds. He also had 59 tackles and two interceptions.

OL: Dane Stambaugh, Lakewood – The senior was the lead blocker for the Vikings, who had more than 3,300 rushing yards this fall. He also was a part of the defensive line for Lakewood, which captured its first district title in school history.

OL: Cooper Clapp, Corunna – The senior guard was a second-team Division 3-4 all-state selection. The three-year starter was a major component while helping the Cavaliers break several school rushing records.

OL: Cam Feguer, DeWitt – The three-year starter and two-year captain was an offensive leader for a Panther team that rushed for more than 3,000 yards and just under eight yards per carry during a 10-2 season.

OL: Dominic Spitzley, Pewamo-Westphalia – The senior was first team Division 7-8 all-state lineman and helped the Pirates rush for more for 4,067 yards and 68 touchdowns this fall on their way to the Division 7 state title.

OL: Willoughby Urquhart, Lansing Catholic – The three-year starter was a top component for the Cougars, who went 8-2 and finished as the CAAC White runner-up. He also was the leading tackler among Lansing Catholic’s defensive linemen.

DL: Nathan Bellinger, Ithaca – The junior tallied 107 tackles and 12 for loss and added two fumble recoveries for the Yellowjackets. He was a first-team Division 5-6 all-state selection.

DL: Treyvin Groesser, Portland – The senior earned first team all-state recognition after registering 58 tackles, including 14 for loss and two sacks for the Raiders.

DL: Alec Guillame, DeWitt – The senior had 59 tackles, six sacks and three batted passes while playing a key role in league and district titles for the Panthers. He also had seven catches for 110 yards from his tight end spot.

DL: Nevin Brittain, Haslett – The senior had 81 tackles, including 11 for loss and six sacks, for the Vikings.

DL: Kahari Foy-Walton, Sexton – The senior was a key component on the defensive line for the Big Reds and had 54 tackles and five sacks. He also was a top target from his tight end spot and had 28 catches for 459 yards and seven TDs.

LB: Storm Miller, Mason – The senior became the all-time leading tackler in Mason history this fall. He registered 125 tackles this season while helping the Bulldogs finish 9-2. Miller ended his career with 309 tackles. He also ran for 635 yards and 13 TDs.

LB: Ryan Cornejo, Alma – The senior had 136 tackles while playing a significant role on what statistically ranked as the best defense in school history. He had 17 tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception and a defensive TD.

LB: Trevor Brock, Fowlerville – The junior had 120 tackles, including eight for loss and six sacks, while helping the Gladiators reach the state playoffs. He also had two fumble recoveries.

LB: Devon Pung, Pewamo-Westphalia – The senior was the CMAC defensive MVP and also earned firstteam Division 7-8 all-state honors. He more than 25 tackles for loss for the Pirates and also was a key component of the offensive line.

DB: Cody Blankenburg, Sexton – The junior had five interceptions and 38 tackles while helping the Big Reds reach the playoffs. He also ran for 1,113 yards and 16 touchdowns and had 208 receiving yards and three scores.

DB: Mason Schneider, Pewamo-Westphalia – The senior had more than 26 tackles and eight interceptions this fall while helping the Pirates to the Division 7 state title. He was a first-team Division 7-8 all-state selection.

DB: Darian Holbrook, East Lansing – The sophomore had seven interceptions and nine pass breakups while averaging six tackles per game for the Trojans, He also rushed for 607 yards and 10 touchdowns and had 337 receiving yards and five TDs.

DB Xavier Farr, Grand Ledge – The senior registered 17 tackles and had seven interceptions for the Comets. He also had 27 receptions for 286 yards and three touchdowns.

P: Connor Charamella, East Lansing – The junior averaged 38.7 yards on his 44 punts and had downed inside the 20-yard line and seven inside the 10.

K: Luke Ezzo, Haslett – The senior made 7 of 12 field goals with a school-record long of 46 yards. Ezzo made 15 of 20 field goals in his career.

Specialist/athlete: Michael Lynn III, Lansing Catholic – The junior completed 65 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,640 yards and eight touchdowns and rushed for 1,051 yards and 23 touchdowns for the Cougars.

Specialist/athlete: Joey Bentley, Ithaca – The junior threw for 2,056 yards and 20 touchdowns and just six interceptions and also ran for 1,095 yards and 20 scores or the Yellowjackets. He also registered 55 tackles and three interceptions.
