Nebraska JV softball coach arrested on charge of sexual assault of a child

An Omaha (Neb.) middle school teacher and junior varsity softball coach was arrested Wednesday morning on a charge of first-degree sexual assault of a child.

Daryl D. Clark, 46, is a teacher at Omaha’s Monroe Middle School and the junior varsity softball coach at Bellevue West. He also coaches for Echoes Fast Pitch based in Papillion, the Omaha Police Department confirmed to KETV.

According to OPD, the investigation began with a complaint of inappropriate sexual contact between an adult male softball coach and a juvenile female. Per an email obtained by KETV, Clark was arrested before the start of the school day, out of view of students.

A school district spokesperson told KETV that Clark is a business education teacher at Monroe. Per the school’s website, Clark teaches 8th grade computer apps and has been with the school for 10 years.
