No change atop LSWA polls

There was no change after the sixth week of the season in the top 5 of each class in the Louisiana Sports Writers Association football polls.

Minden takes on Benton in a battle of the District 1-4A leaders.

John Curtis stayed atop of Class 5A, Neville in 4A, De La Salle in 3A, Notre Dame in 2A and Haynesville in 1A.

In Class 5A Evangel kept its No. 6 ranking while Parkway slipped from No. 7 to No. 8.

Minden remained No. 5 in Class 4A after is big 42-28 win over No. 7 Benton. The Tigers slipped just one spot after being ranked No. 6 last week.

In Class 2A Many (6-0) remained undefeated and kept its No. 2 ranking.

Haynesville did likewise staying unbeaten and remained No. 1 in Class 1A. Logansport is 6-0 and ranked 4th and Arcadia (3-3) is ranked No. 8. The last time the Golden Tornado finished the regular season in the top spot was 2013.
