Donovan Jeter, one of the top defensive ends in the country, committed Monday to Notre Dame.
Jeter was initially planning to commit on Halloween, but he pushed the date forward after visiting South Bend. The 6-5, 250-pound end chose the Irish over the likes of Alabama, Penn State, Michigan, Georgia, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Stanford, and others.
“It just felt right when I stepped on their campus,” Jeter told Scout.com. “It felt like I was home.”
It makes sense that Jeter would feel right at home, as he joins five other Western Pennsylvania athletes who have already committed to Notre Dame. Defensive tackle Kurt Hinish, linebackers David Adams and Drew White, offensive lineman Josh Lugg, and 2018 QB Phil Jurkovec are all from the area and all committed to Notre Dame.
