Put Valley gets first win, Mahopac edges Carmel and Bendenson gets shutout for Pleasantville

It was a light Tuesday but an important one for at least a couple of teams as Putnam Valley registered its first win of the season and Mahopac edged in-town rival Carmel despite falling behind early.

Those games and other recaps are below.

Pleasantville 3, Irvington 0: Emma Hickey had two goals and an assist and Jackie Bendenson had nine saves to record the shutout.

Callie Sullivan also scored and Katie Keane and Caroline Kovach added assists.

Bulldog netminder Nicole Sklitsis had eight saves.

Putnam Valley 2, Hastings 1: Cyera Daughtry scored in the first half and Danielle Cunningham in the second half, both unassisted, as the Tigers recorded their first win of the season.

Becca Litsky had a first-half goal for Hastings.

Mahopac 3, Carmel 2: Briana Corace had three assists and Kim Brower, Gabby Light and Kim Schiera scored for the Indians.

Casey Gilchrist and Liz Pulley scored for the Rams.

Elaina Nacinovich had 15 saves for Carmel.

Shannon Barry had two saves and Gianna Brigante one for Mahopac.

North Salem 1, Briarcliff 0: Emma Cindrich netted the winning goal.

Greenwich Farms Academy 2, Hackley 1: Lucy Holzinger and Chloe Messina scored for GFA and Catherine Meyer had the Hornets’ goal.

Jenny Canoni had four saves for Hackley.

Valhalla 1, Rye Neck 1: Maria Pezzolanti scored for the Vikings and Jasmine Cores tallied for Rye Neck.

Scarsdale 8, Fox Lane 0: Aliza Mehlman and Audrey Shaev each had a pair of goals and Erin Nicholas scored and had three assists.

Olivia Hailer, Jilly Mehlman and Julia Jamesley each also had a goal and Emma Coleman added an assist.

Grace Kiernan had 10 saves for Fox Lane.
