Region roundup: Beaver shuts out Enterprise

Football: Beaver 28, Enterprise 0

The Beaver Beavers shut out the Enterprise Wolves at home on Friday night to secure second place in 2A South region.

Dillon Smith scored two rushing touchdowns for Beaver, and Jordan Hardy added a touchdown pass and rushing touchdown of his own to lead to the 28-0 victory.

Enterprise finished in third place in the region, and San Juan won the region championship after a 49-0 victory over Grand. San Juan went undefeated in 2A South.

Enterprise lost out on a first round bye, but it will still get to host the first round of the 2A playoffs against Millard. That game will be next week. If the Wolves win that game, they will play at South Summit the following week.

Football: Layton Christian 25, Parowan 13

Layton Christian tacked on a third quarter touchdown to extend its lead to 12 points, and the scoring stayed there in a non-region victory over Parowan.

This was Parowan’s last game of the season no matter what, with no playoff implications for which to play. The Rams went winless in 1A South region and did not qualify for the postseason.
