Roundup: Sciacca, Ezelio lead Arlington in volleyball sweep

Michaela Sciacca had three aces, 11 assists, a kill and four digs, helping lead the Arlington High School volleyball team to a 25-19, 26-24, 25-19 win over host Mahopac on Tuesday.

Afoma Ezelio added five kills and four blocks, while Grace Torino had two aces, five kills and 15 digs for the Admirals (8-6).

Spackenkill 3, Rhinebeck 0 — Nini Sher had 13 kills, 11 assists, six aces and a block for the visiting Spartans, who won 25-20, 25-22, 25-20.

Anna Booz had four service points, including two aces, nine assists and three digs for the Hawks.

Pine Plains 3, Webutuck 0 — Ashley Starzyk tallied two digs, six blocks, two kills and one assist, while captain Johanna Schmidt notched five digs, one kill and three assists in host Pine Plains’ three-set victory, 25-20, 25-13, 25-14.

Aliyah Caldas contributed three kills and three blocks for Webutuck.

Roosevelt 3, Red Hook 0 — Morgan Corless put forth two aces, four kills, two digs and 13 assists for Roosevelt, which defeated Red Hook in three sets, 25-16,25-16, 25-20. Shannon Martin-Ignaffo tallied two aces, four kills and one block for Red Hook.

Roy C. Ketcham 3, Carmel 1 — Naraya Price had seven kills and two blocks to lead the visiting Indians (6-11) to a 25-16, 22-25, 25-23, 27-25 win.

New Paltz 3, Poughkeepsie 0 — Kelly Brinkman had four aces, six kills and four digs for the Huguenots (5-8) who won 25-12, 25-7, 25-9. Lexi Klinger had eight assists and two digs.

Dover 3, John A. Coleman Catholic 0 – Sammi Beebe had one ace, 15 service points and two digs, while Calise Henry added 15 service points, six kills, two blocks and three digs for the host Dragons (8-7), who won 25-17, 25-10, 25-15.

Late Monday, Dover hosted Housatonic and won 25-19, 25-20, 22-25, 25-11.

Euphenie Andre had 25 kills, while Shelby Schlueter had four digs for Dover. Tara Begor added seven digs and four kills. Beebe had eight digs.

Millbrook 3, Ellenville 0 — Kayla Gusikoff had six service aces, while Brooke Babbitt had three kills and eight service aces, as Millbrook (9-1) defeated host Ellenville 25-5, 25-9, 25-15.

Our Lady of Lourdes 3, Sleepy Hollow 0 — Jessica D’Auria had 11 kills and 12 digs for the host Warriors.

Girls soccer

Lindsey Dowd and Abbey Wood scored for host Dover, which beat Onteora 2-1. The Dragons improved to 6-6-1.

Beacon 3, Peekskill 0 — Chloe Antalek scored twice for the visiting Bulldogs (11-5), while Elianna Lotero added a goal.

New Paltz 2, Haldane 1 — Cerissa DiValentino scored the overtime goal and added an assist as the host Huguenots beat the Blue Devils late Monday.

Lia Kucera also scored for New Paltz (12-3).

Alzy Cinquanto scored with an assist from Missy Lisikatos for Haldane.

Field hockey

Pawling had two shots on goal, along with four penalty corners, but tied with North Salem 0-0.

Roy C. Ketcham 5, Carmel 0 — Katie Wall had three goals and an assist as the visiting Indians shut out the Rams late Monday.

Nikki Mancuso and Julia McDaniel also scored for Ketcham. Kelsey Mulligan had two assists.
