Sebastian River jumped out to a 20-point first-quarter lead and held on to defeat Bayside, 48-3 on Monday in Sebastian.
The Sharks improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in District 14-6A. The game was scheduled to be played Oct. 7 but was postponed due to Hurricane Matthew.
The Bears’ only score came on a 29-yard field goal by Javian Martin in the second period. Bayside fell to 0-7 and 0-4.
Sebastian River had opened the scoring on a 44-yard Wayne Parks run just a bit more into the game, and then a 33-yard interception return by Durrell Simmons pushed the lead to 13. In the final minutes of the period, Andre Johnson broke free for a 56-yard score and the 20-0 lead.
Bayside will play a non-district game at Melbourne on Friday.
