Soccer roundup: Feighan's goals lift Arlington girls to OT win

Molly Feighan scored the tying goal off an assist from Meggie Buttinger with six minutes left in regulation, then notched the go-ahead tally off a pass from Michaela Fasolino three minutes into the first overtime as the Arlington girls soccer team erupted late to beat host Clarkstown South High School, 4-1, on Tuesday in West Nyack.

Taylor James scored off a feed from Buttinger with two minutes left in the first overtime, and Sofia Germano added the fourth goal, off a dish from Feighan, in the second overtime. Becky Gold and Hannah Wendling each made two saves. Arlington is 3-0.

Pawling 5, Keio 0 – Alicia Chu, Olivia Zoeller, Sierra Mayhew, Emily Hicks and Grace Eichinger each scored a goal for visiting Pawling.

Beacon 3, Sleepy Hollow 1 – Chloe Antalek, Reanna Cader and Gabby Lucas each scored for host Beacon. Victoria Banks and Analiese Compagnone each had an assist, and Meagan Meeuwisse made eight saves for the Bulldogs (3-2).

Late Monday, Antalek scored three goals in a 5-1 win over Walter Panas.

Arlington B 2, North Salem 0 — Kate Murphy had a goal and an assist to lead visiting Arlington B late Tuesday. Murphy put the Admirals on the board, then 10 minutes later, fed Devon Schmitt for a goal. Rebecca Campos and Lindsay Wood combined for the shutout.

North Rockland 1, John Jay 0 — North Rockland scored with 10 minutes left in regulation. Alexis Lainchbury made six saves and Vicki Siedlecki had five stops in the second half for John Jay (1-2-1).

Boys soccer

Ethan Hart scored three goals to lead visiting Franklin D. Roosevelt to a 5-3 win over Red Hook to win the Joel Tomson Memorial Cup. Colin Sullivan scored twice for Red Hook.

Poughkeepsie 1, Onteora 0 – Gary Tomas scored on an assist from Ben Pillsbury as the host Pioneers shut out the Indians. Jose Martinez made seven saves for Poughkeepsie (2-3).

Millbrook 8, Pine Plains 2 – Chris Maresca scored three goals and Matt Castagnozzi made six saves to lead host Millbrook. The Blazers (3-2) scored five goals in the second half, including Zeke Kopilak’s 35-yard boot. Christian Aldana scored twice and Omar Santiago had 16 saves for Pine Plains.

Rhinebeck 4, John A. Coleman Catholic 2 – Kevin Lyons had a goal and an assist to lead host Rhinebeck. Alec Gautier, Nakoa Zuger and Quinn Graziano each added a goal and Lex Kronbichler had an assist.

New Paltz 7, Marlboro 0 – Oscar Kay had a hat trick and Isaac Thomas scored twice as the visiting Huguenots shut out the Iron Dukes.

Isaac Cheruiyot and Fernando Cuellar also scored for New Paltz (4-1). Wesley Mize made three saves.

For Marlboro (1-3-1), Jawad Haidaoui (10 saves) and Michael Sanchez (two saves) split time in goal.

Dover 4, Ellenville 3 – Kenny Joseph’s second goal, off a pass from Justin Williams, gave visiting Dover a 4-2 lead in the 76th minute. Gabe Dellavigne and Wyatt McIntyre each also scored and Aaron Longiu made seven saves for the Dragons (3-2).

Rondout Valley 3, Highland 0 – The Huskies lost on the road, surrendering two goals in the second half late Tuesday.

Faith Christian Academy 4, Well Played Warriors 0 – Dalton Lois scored three goals to lead FCA late Monday. Gheeson Gordon added a goal and Manny Cabral had two assists for FCA (1-0).
