Tenoroc sophomore quarterback Josh Allred threw a school-record seven touchdown passes in leading the Titans over Gateway 52-0.

The game started off with a bang for Tenoroc when Shedrick Flourney returned the opening kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown.

Then Allred went to work.  He connected with five different receivers for scores, all in the first half.  His favorite was Luis Martinez, who caught three, from 45, 20 and 17 yards out.  Tenoroc’s offense was almost exclusively passing against the Griffins.

“Throwing the ball was a better option for us.”  Titans head coach Chris Davidson said.  “We were crisp in our passing game, and so it was our plan to work on that stuff.”

Allred ended his night 13 of 19 for 219 yards. In contrast, Tenoroc only gained 33 yards on the ground.

The Titans defense was just a stingy as their offense was productive.  Gateway only crossed into Titans territory twice, getting to the 30 in the waning moments.

“We didn’t come out and play tonight.”  Griffins head coach Chris Morant said.  “We are young, and we’ve got to get better.”

The Griffins were assessed 18 penalties for 168 yards. That was more yardage than their offense generated (115).
