What’s up world, it’s Trent’s Truth!
It’s been a while since I gave you guys an update about what’s going on in my life, but I’m gonna fill you in now.
The biggest thing that’s been going on lately are my three official visits with my top three schools.
First, I went to UCLA and I had a great time there.
The campus was beautiful, it’s like five minutes away from Bel Air and the weather was just great. I went to the UCLA-Stanford football game and that was definitely live.
The people that I spent the majority of my weekend with were T.J. Leaf and Lonzo Ball. They showed me some great things and showed me all the campus had to offer.
I was there before the season started so I got to run some pickup with them. That was fun!
I really like what Coach Alford has going on over there and I know I’d be successful there.
I think the best part of the weekend was proving to Lonzo Ball that I was the NBA 2K GOAT! I don’t wanna put him out there too much because I got to know him and we’re cool so I’ll just say I beat him multiple times by 20-plus.
I try and tell you guys, no one is seeing me in 2K!
OK, so the next visit was to Duke and that was great, too.
I went with one of my best friends Wendell Carter, who’s like a brother to me. Of course everyone knows that we want to play together so we scheduled the visit so we could see it together.
We went to Countdown to Craziness and that was just crazy! You hear about the Cameron Crazies, but it definitely surpassed what I thought. Those guys really are in awe of their basketball team. I loved it.
I went and sat with them and everything.
I saw their practices and sat in on actual classes and everything like that.
It’s a beautiful campus.
Jayson Tatum was our host and he did a great job showing us what the school had to offer, and Coach K talked to me about what he could offer me and how I could fit in there and how playing at Duke could have a great impact on my life.
I think both of us loved the visit!
We talked a lot about how we’d fit in and how much we wanted to play together and we’re still talking about it now. That’s still our goal, but we both agree that we need the decision to be what’s best for us first. It’s tough on both of us because we’ve got great options so we’re just staying in contact throughout the process and talking things out.
My last visit was to Michigan State.
I love what Coach Izzo has going on over there. The energy at practice was the most intense that I’ve seen at any university. The guys really love each other and they really want to make each other better. That’s all you can ask for.
I loved the campus and everything the school had to offer. It was a great visit.
What I’ll do now is get with my dad over the next couple of weeks and talk about the pros and cons of each school and when the best time would be for me to make a decision.
We’ve got the early period coming up and it’s possible that I could decide by then, but I’m not sure.
We’ll have to see.
I’m excited because we have our first game this Saturday against Reno International Prep. I can’t wait!
I think we’re all ready to get out there and get a game in because we’ve been working so hard.
School is going great too.
I’d have to say my Psychology class is the most interesting class to me right now because we talk about a wide variety of things. It’s not your average class, for sure.
On the music side, Drake is still the GOAT, of course.
It almost hurt me to say this, but I had the opportunity to listen to DC4 and Meek Mill had a few songs that were playable. He had a couple of good features that made the album OK to listen to, but other than that it was just OK.
OK everybody, again this is Trent’s Truth, I appreciate you reading and I’ll be back soon to update you on my recruitment and everything else.
