A rivalry game in Southern California just outside of L.A. gave way to a reported brawl that left three injured with stab wounds.

As reported by the Orange County Register, shortly after Ocean View’s 35-20 victory against Westminster in Huntington Beach, police were called to the school for a report of a brawl. While officers were unable to witness any fight on location upon arriving after summoned by the call just before 10 p.m., they identified two minors and one adult at nearby hospitals with stab wounds shortly thereafter, though none were formally charged related to the incident in question.

“They drove themselves” to the hospital, Huntington Beach Lt. Steve Bushhousen told the Register.

There was also no early indication about A) what precipitated the fight or, more specifically B) if it was at all related to the football game.

For now, Huntington Beach police continue to investigate the incident, with possible charges against the three victims still forthcoming.

The original story in the OC Register was incorrect...Westminster won this game 35-20 and the fight discussed had nothing to do with any rivalry.  The people involved were not students of either school and the incident happened in the parking lot after the game.
