Volleyball: Scoreboard for Monday, Oct. 17

First off, a very sincere thank you to everyone for their warm wishes of quick health. I feel much better this morning than I did yesterday, and I’m sure the positive thoughts helped in that regard. That said, I’ve got a pretty busy day planned ahead. For those asking or wondering what happened to the player of the week post for this week, I’m selecting her today. I was really trying not to overextend myself Sunday or Monday, and the POTW is not a budgeted item.

Zacchio’s prediction record for the season: 277-48

Here’s the schedule for Tuesday, Oct. 18, plus my predictions:

I have a staff meeting at 2 p.m. and plenty of other work to do, but I’d love to swing by Pelham-Ardsley since it’s relatively close to the office and I haven’t really seen either during the regular season. The best match on today’s slate will be Yorktown at Ossining, as two lohud-ranked top five teams duke it out for the second time this year (Yorktown swept the previous meeting, but Ossining has bee playing significantly better since then.)

Saunders at Roosevelt, 4:15 p.m.
Riverside at Lincoln, 4:15 p.m.
Yonkers at Gorton, 4:15 p.m.
Nanuet at Pearl River, 4:15 p.m.
Tappan Zee at Albertus Magnus, 4:15 p.m.
Arlington at Mahopac, 4:30 p.m.
