Here are the latest Lansing State Journal high school athlete of the week candidates. Voting is open until noon Wednesday. The winner will be featured in the print edition of the LSJ.

SY BARNETT, WILLIAMSTON FOOTBALL: The senior receiver/kicker/defensive back helped the Hornets pick up a 43-24 win over Haslett on Friday. Barnett had 11 catches for 187 yards and three touchdowns, converted four extra point attempts and connected on a 35-yard field goal in the victory. He also had four tackles and one kickoff return for 45 yards. Barnett has 726 receiving yards and nine touchdowns this fall for Williamston, which is 4-4.
ELAINA DEROSE, DEWITT GOLF: The sophomore helped the Panthers finish fifth as a team at the Division 2 state golf finals. DeRose had the top score of area golfers in the field at the tournament held at Grand Valley State’s The Meadows. She finished with a score of 170 to lead DeWitt, which had a score of 736 as a team.
DENIZ KALFA, OKEMOS TENNIS: The sophomore helped the Chiefs take third at the Division 2 state tennis finals on Saturday in Holland. Kalfa, who was the No. 2 seed in his flight, won the title at No. 4 singles for the Chiefs. He posted a 7-6 (4), 6-1 victory over top-seeded Saketh Kamaraju of Midland Dow in the championship match.
ALANA SUNDERMANN, HOLT VOLLEYBALL: The senior setter helped the Rams to a CAAC Blue victory over Grand Ledge and to a runner-up finish at the Laingsburg tournament last week. Sundermann has 17 assists while helping the Rams move to a 7-0 in the CAAC Blue with a 25-15, 25-17, 25-18 victory over Grand Ledge. She followed with 13- assists for the Rams, who fell to Schoolcraft in the championship match at Laingsburg. Sundermann has helped Holt to a 23-10-5 mark this fall.
