Friday night was the midway point in the high school football season, and what a night it was. In the MIC Network Game of the Week, Zach Summeier, Tristen Tonte and Warren Central escaped a hard-fought battle against Ben Davis with a 34-34 win. Meanwhile, Cathedral nearly knocked off an-out-of-state power, and Roncalli defense proved impenetrable once again. See what else happened on this exciting football Friday night around the state:

Finals from around Central Indiana

Warren Central 35, Ben Davis 34: Tonte made life miserable for Giants defenders all night Friday, as he rushed for 135 yards on 20 carries and helped seal clinch an important victory for the Warriors.

St. Xavier 34, Cathedral 29: After a ferocious comeback, the Irish let a late lead and a major victory slip away.

Hamilton Southeastern 21, Westfield 20: The Royals handed the Shamrocks their first loss of the season, as the fierce HSE defense trumped Westfield’s potent offense.

Roncalli 31, Scecina 6: With their dominating performance Friday night, the Rebels defense has only allowed six points in its past two games.
