Andrew Sweet connected for a pair of touchdown passes to Evan Manley to lead the Class 5A No. 6 Shamrocks (6-2, 4-2) to a comeback victory over the Tigers (3-5, 0-5) in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference clash.

Sweet hit Manley on scoring passes of 25 and 20 yards to help Westfield erase a 10-0 first-quarter deficit to Fishers, which still made a determined second-half rally that included a 76-yard Jon Vore TD pass to R. J. Potts and a 15-yard scoring run for Michael Noble.

CENTER GROVE 14, LAWRENCE NORTH 0

Bailey Bennett and Russ Yeast ran for one touchdown each and that was all the scoring that the Class 6A No. 3 Trojans (7-1, 6-1) muster – or needed – to post a Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference road win over the Wildcats (3-5, 2-4).

Bailey’s only rush of the night produced a 7-0 halftime lead for the defending 6A state champs, and Yeast put the game effectively out of reach with a short scoring run in the fourth quarter. Lawrence North moved the ball on the ground throughout the game, but could never crack the end zone against the stubborn Trojans defense, which held its fifth opponent to under 10 points this season.
