Tuscola senior Ashley Weidlich set a school record for career scoring (110 goals) in Wednesday night’s 6-0 shutout of West Henderson.

Weidlich’s third goal of the Western North Carolina Athletic Conference game occurred in the 66th minute off an assist from Mary Rachel Carter and was the record-setter. Wednesday was Senior Night for the Mountaineers (13-4-1, 11-1-0).

Weidlich is a forward who has signed with Tusculum (Tenn.). She had a hat trick Wednesday night as did fellow senior Molly Escaravage. Tuscola has four other seniors — Cassidy Pate-Moore, Taylor Ross, Sydney Turner and Rachel Swaim.
