West Orange-Stark (Texas) hasn’t given up a point in its first four games. Nederland? 42-0. Little Cypress-Mauriceville? 45-0. Bridge City? 55-0. The most recent, Houston KIPP Northeast? 61-0.

That’s a combined score of 203-0 over 16 quarters.

The defense is led by defensive end TeRon Brown, defensive tackle Morris Joseph, defensive back Malick Phillips, and seems to have no signs of slowing down.

West Orange-Stark hosts 1-2 Silsbee on Friday. Silsbee has scored at least 19 points in each of its three games.

The strength of West Orange-Stark resides in its defensive line, where it seems like anyone is capable of making plays at any given time. The Mustangs are strong at the point of attack, routinely shedding double teams and getting to the quarterback despite only rushing three defenders.

West Orange-Stark is among the favorites in 4A, but faces a diffciult region comes the playoffs.
