Winner of Enquirer Football Player of the Week is...?

The Battle Creek Enquirer put out the question:

Who was the Football Player of the Week of Week 4 of the high school season?

After more than 7,000 votes in the Enquirer website poll, the answer is Harper Creek running back Dawson  Bartlett.

Bartlett finished first in the poll with 2,775 votes.

Finishing a close second was Pennfield’s Kollin Kemerling with 2,364 votes.

Lakeview’s Caleb Edwards was third.

Harper Creek’s Bartlett had four touchdowns in a 55-25 Beaver win over Hastings. Bartlett had 172 yards rushing on nine carries, with three touchdowns and the ground, plus one touchdown reception.

At 4-0, is Harper Creek football for real?

The winner of the Battle Creek Enquirer Football Player of the Week each week will receive a ‘Player of the Week’ t-shirt.

Each week throughout the fall, the Enquirer will also accept nominations for Athlete of the Week. The criteria for the honor is that it must be a Battle Creek area high school varsity athlete who participates in volleyball, swimming and diving, tennis, soccer, golf or cross country.
