2018 four-star DT D'Andre Litaker stays home, commits to Tennessee

Riverdale (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) senior football standout D’Andre Litaker commited to the University of Tennessee on Tuesday afternoon.

The announcement came via a Twitter post.

Litaker, a 6-2, 300-pound defensive tackle, had narrowed his choices to the Vols, Louisville and Alabama.

Just a day earlier his teammate, defensive back Jarek Campbell, announced he was committing to Louisville.

Following the death of his mother earlier in the year, Litaker moved in with Campbell’s family.

Litaker transferred from Oakland to Riverdale prior to his junior year but missed the entire 2016 season and this past spring practice with a knee injury. He is expected to be back around time for the 2017 regular season to begin.

Litaker had also been offered by Florida, Auburn, LSU, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Memphis.
