Southern Indiana Athlete of the Week | Floyd Central wrestler Tristan Sellmer

Floyd Central wrestler Tristan Sellmer, ranked No. 4 in the state, pinned New Albany’s Ronald Johnson in 1:09 at sectionals to claim the 138-pound title, earning himself the Courier-Journal Southern Indiana Athlete of the Week Award presented by Norton Sports Health.

Last week’s other nominees included New Albany wrestler Jaden Sonner, New Albany basketball player Chyna Anthony and Salem basketball player Seth Hobson.

The Metro Louisville and Southern Indiana Athlete of the Week Awards are part of The Courier-Journal Sports Awards program presented by Norton Sports Health.
