Result: Previous: 1. McDonogh finished the year with their 177th win in a row and in doing so captured their eight consecutive IAAM A Conference title and finished their eighth undefeated season in a row. The Eagles haven’t lost a game since March of 2009. The Eagles will claim the top Super 25 spot for the third consecutive season.

Glenelg

Glenelg, MD 20 - 0 - 0

Result: Previous: 2. Glenelg cruised in impressive fashion to its second consecutive Maryland 3A/2A state championship, taking down C.M. Wright (Md.) 12-3 behind two goals from four different players. Prior to that, the Gladiators rolled to a 24-2 victory over Oakdale (Md.) in the semifinals.

Notre Dame Prep

Towson, MD 19 - 3 - 0

Result: Previous: 3. The Blazers lost 12-9 in the IAAM A Conference finale to the undefeated McDonogh Eagles, a highly respectable and noble loss in falling by just three goals to perhaps the most winning dynasty in all of sports. The young Notre Dame Prep team, with only three losses and two of those to McDonogh, has one of the top resumes in the nation.

Marriotts Ridge

Marriottsville, MD 12 - 4 - 0

Result: Previous: 4. The Mustangs rolled past Manchester Valley (Md.) 15-8 in the MPSSAA 3A/2A playoffs, but then were edged 8-6 by No. 2 Glenelg (Md.) in a battle of two of the state’s top programs. Marriotts Ridge’s losses this year came only to No. 1 McDonogh (Md.), No. 2 Glenelg (Md.) and No. 3 Notre Dame Prep (Md.).

Mount Sinai

Mount Sinai, NY 16 - 2 - 0

Result: Previous: 5. The Mustangs took down Wantagh (N.Y.) 9-4 in the New York State Class C quarterfinals. Meaghan Tyrell (Syracuse) led the way with four goals and two assists. Mount Sinai advances to meet Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (N.Y.) in the semifinals on June 9.

St Stephen's-St Agnes

Alexandria, VA 27 - 2 - 0

Result: Previous: 6. The Saints, this year’s Independent School League champions, advanced to the Virginia Independent School Athletic Association finals with a 13-1 win over Episcopal (Va.). But in a rematch of last year’s VISAA final, St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes was upended 9-8 in overtime by fellow Virginia powerhouse Bishop Ireton, a Super 25 regular. The Saints end the year with one of the nation’s most impressive resumes. Zoe Belodeau (Penn) closed out the season with a whopping 115 goals and 55 assists.

Bridgewater-Raritan

Bridgewater, NJ 21 - 1 - 0

Result: Previous: 7. The Panthers rolled to a 16-4 win over Eastern (N.J.) in the NJSIAA Group 4 final and then routed Bernards (N.J.) 17-5 in the Tournament of Champions semifinals on June 7. It sets Bridgewater-Raritan up to face No. 9 Oak Knoll on June 10. The Royals are the only team to have defeated the Panthers so far this season.

Ridgewood

Ridgewood, NJ 21 - 1 - 0

Result: Previous: 8. After defeating Morristown 14-4 in the North Jersey Section 1, Group 4 final, Ridgewood was upended 10-9 by Bridgewater Raritan (N.J.) in the NJSIAA semifinals. Ridgewood ends the year with just one loss, and with four wins over teams currently in the Super 25: No. 10 Summit (N.J.), No. 18 Darien (Conn.), No. 11 Moorestown (N.J.) and No. 9 Oak Knoll (N.J.).

Oak Knoll

Summit, NJ 21 - 4 - 0

Result: Previous: 9. The Royals have surged back to the Tournament of Champions finale, having taken down Middle Township in the Group 1 championship behind eight goals from Ali Baiocco (Stanford). In the TOC semifinals, Oak Knoll edged Summit (N.J.) 11-9 in a classic Garden State showdown. The Royals take on No. 7 Bridgewater-Raritan (N.J.) in the championship. Oak Knoll, with four losses, is the only team to have defeated the Panthers this season owning a 13-7 win from May 1.

Summit

Summit, NJ 19 - 3 - 0

Result: Previous: 10. The Hilltoppers made it to the Tournament of Champions semifinals after winning the North Jersey Group 3 title with a gritty 9-8 win over Moorestown (N.J.). But then Summit met No. 9 Oak Knoll (N.J.) in the TOC, falling 11-9 in a great matchup. Seven different players scored for the Hilltoppers in their final outing of the season.

Result: Previous: 11. The Quakers fell in 9-8 slugfest with Summit in the North Jersey Group 3 title game. Robin Panzarella (Penn) scored twice and added an assist in the loss for Moorestown.

Garden City

Garden City, NY 18 - 1 - 0

Result: Previous: 12. The Trojans defeated No. 17 Eastport-South Manor (N.Y.) 12-6 in the New York State Class B tournament quarterfinals. Kelly George (Marist) scored once and dished out three assists, while Caitlin Cook scored three times. Garden City faces downstate powerhouse Yorktown on June 9 in the semifinals.

Result: Previous: 13. The Patriots fell in an 8-7 battle with rival and No. 23 Northport in the Suffolk County Class A semifinals. It was the first loss of the year for Ward Melville, a team that ran through its conference undefeated.

Result: Previous: 14. Agnes Irwin, after losing to No. 25 Episcopal Academy (Pa.) twice already this season, doubled up the Churchmen 14-7 on May 25 to claim the Owls’ second Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association title in three years.

Bishop Ireton

Result: Previous: 15. The Cardinals had a spectacular end to an up-and-down season, winning the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association championship with a thrilling 9-8 overtime win over St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.). It was redemption for Bishop Ireton in a rematch of last year’s title game that the Saints won 12-5.

Middle Country

Result: Previous: 16. Middle Country got past Nassau County champ Massapequa in a 10-9 Long Island battle as Jamie Ortega (North Carolina) scored three goals and added four assists. The Wolverines move on to face North Rockland (N.Y.) in the state semifinals on June 9.

Result: Previous: 17. The Sharks fell to No. 12 Garden City (N.Y.) 12-6 in the New York State Class B semifinals. Kaitlyn Dowsett (Siena) finished the year with 34 goals and 41 assists to lead Eastport in points.

Result: Previous: 18. Darien doubled up rival New Canaan (Conn.) in the Connecticut Class L state semifinals. Ashley Humphrey (Stanford) put up four goals and two assists, while Christine Fiore (Navy) scored six times for the Blue Wave. Darien faces Wilton (Conn.) for the state championship on June 10.

Result: Previous: 20. It was an impressive run to end the season for the young Dragons, who reached the IAAM A Conference semifinals. There, they put up a good fight against the top-ranked McDonogh Eagles, falling 12-7. To get there, they had to upend an Archbishop Spalding (Md.) team that had downed Glenelg Country earlier in the year.

Shoreham-Wading River

Shoreham, NY 13 - 4 - 0

Result: Previous: 21. Shoreham earned a convincing 16-3 win over Miller Place (N.Y.) on May 23 in the Suffolk County/Section XI Class C quarterfinals, but then the Wildcats were upended by No. 19 Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.) 9-8 in the semifinals. The Wildcats end the year having lost only to Super 25-ranked opponents.

Result: Previous: 22. The Bulls defeated Riverhead (N.Y.) 14-9 in the quarterfinals, but then fell to No. 16 Middle Country (N.Y.) in the next round of the highly competitive Suffolk County/Section XI Class A playoffs. Shannon Kavanagh (Florida) totaled 65 goals and 33 assists on the year.

The Eagles’ fourth loss came on the same day following their game against St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes in a double-header.
