Seton wins
Seton Catholic downed Tri High 26-24, 20-25, 25-19, 27-25 on Monday.
Maggie Lahmann had 14 kills and four blocks for the Cardinals, while Abby Dargie added 25 assists and 32 digs and Megan Schroeder had 49 digs.
Seton is back in action Saturday at the Rising Sun Invitational.
JV football
Red Devils fall
Richmond fell 44-14 to Kokomo.
Blake Mullins scored a rushing touchdown for the Red Devils, while Brendan Hegg caught a touchdown pass from Jordan Christian. Trey Sanders caught two passes for 56 yards, while Ty Williams caught two for 45.
Aaron Davis forced a fumble for Richmond and Scott Shaffer recovered it.
Junior high sports
Tigers romp
Hagerstown defeated Knightstown 40-0 in eighth-grade football on Monday.
Jared Andis rushed for four touchdowns, while Tyler Paige ran for a TD and five 2-point conversions. Paige and Andrew McDaniel each recovered fumbles.
Hagerstown fell 18-0 in the seventh-grade game. Kyler Hicks recovered a fumble for the Tigers.
Centerville wins
Centerville swept Dennis in volleyball on Monday, winning 25-11, 25-15 in the seventh-grade match and 25-17, 25-14 in the eighth-grade match.
Ella Dils had seven aces and Elizabeth Walter 10 assists for Centerville’s eighth grade.
Aubrey Moore led the Dennis seventh grade with two aces. Erica Petry had three aces and three digs for Dennis’ eighth-grade team, and Tatum Jordan had two kills.
Tigers, Tri split
Hagerstown fell 25-20, 14-25, 15-7 to Tri in eighth-grade volleyball on Monday.
The Tigers rallied to win the seventh-grade match, stopping Tri 19-25, 25-16, 15-14.
Lacee Dale led Hagerstown’s seventh grade with 19 points.
Northeastern splits
Northeastern split with Lincoln in volleyball, with the Knights winning the seventh-grade match 25-22, 25-18, and the Golden Eagles taking the eighth-grade match 25-15, 21-25, 15-11.
