Work on Maryville High School’s new football field is nearly complete.
New Astro-turf replaces the old, natural field that had serious drainage problems.
The new field will allow the team to train and play year-round without worrying about the weather.
“It really says a lot about this program, about the direction we’re heading. And I think the kids are excited, the community really excited, and obviously, we’re excited as coaches,” said assistant coach Brandon Waters.
Work on the field got started back in April and is expected to be finished in the next two weeks.
