Bears pitch Westwood shutout

Bayside High’s football team improved to 4-5 with a 49-0 win over Fort Pierce Westwood on the road. It was a non-district game.

Lucious McKay passed for four touchdowns. Darion Andre caught two, one for 16 and another for 11. Scott Willis caught another, for 68 yards.

Roger Bush scored twice, once on a 1-yard pass from McKay and later on a run from the 1.

The Bears got on the board first at 9:23 of the first period on a 4-yard run by William Harrell.

That started the blowout, one year after the Bears did the same to the Panthers in Palm Bay, 55-0.

Westwood closed out its 2012 season at 1-8. The Bears will play at Apopka next week, having closed out Class 6A, District 13 play a week ago.

Bayside was 4-6 last season and can improve on their record with a win in that game.
