UNDATED (AP) — Three victories over out-of-state teams have pushed Bentonville to the top of the Arkansas Associated Press high school football poll. All 14 voters picked the Tigers following wins over teams from Missouri, Oklahoma and Mississippi.
Bentonville opens 7A-West conference play this Friday at No. 7 Springdale Har-Ber. Second-ranked North Little Rock plays a 7A-East game at 10th-ranked Cabot.
Conway is third this week, followed by West Memphis and Fayetteville. Greenwood enters the poll at No. 6 after a 30-point victory over Shiloh Christian.
Following Har-Ber is Camden Fairview in eighth and Rogers Heritage in ninth, just ahead of Cabot.
Greenwood heads Class 6A after Pine Bluff fell Friday. Camden Fairview tops 5A, while 4A Nashville, 3A McGehee and 2A Junction City lead among smaller schools.
